Target customer service - service

I recently shopped in your store and purchased some wine. I was insulted when they asked for my ID. I am 64 years old. I shop at Walmart, Meijer, Kroger, and our local store Martins. I am never asked for an ID. Also I had many bags at checkout and no on helped to put them in the cart. I had to hold up the line to put them in my cart! This is ridiculous that you have no baggers or even put them in a cart for customers. Every store I shop at takes care of you. You need to update your whole checkout system! There is too much competition and you are at the bottom of where I will shop next time!

There is a new state law in Indiana that requires ALL employees selling alcohol to ask for YOUR I.D.
We are not given a choice. We have to enter YOUR (the customers) birthdate complete with MM/DD/YY
into the computer for it to be logged.
It does seem somewhat rediculous from the outside looking in but try to look at it from a different perspective. The employee is just doing their job and what is required by state law. This is monitored. If an employee was caught skipping this step they could be fined by the state and loose their job.

Never be insulted by someone asking for an ID to purchase liquor, no matter what your age. The employees have been instructed to do this.
