Poor Customer Service


We recently ordered an item from Target.com . The money was taken from our account promptly and we awaited our item. The "deliver by" date came and went, so we contacted the site via email and was given an excuse of there being a technical problem and we were then given a new date for delivery. That date came and went. We contacted the company via phone and was given the exact same verbage as the email. It seems that our "ONLINE" order was stuck in the system and they are unable to process it nor cancel it. So, here we sit another promised delivery date coming and going. We again contacted the site via email and were given the SAME copied email with a new heading attached stating that they "Know we are frustrated with the situation." We contacted them via email again, only to be ignored. Target still has our money and has yet to ship our item. We do not get any updates on status unless we contact them. The updates are always the same...nothing! We are told that when it DOES ship, we have the option of keeping the item with a 10% discount ($20.00) or returning it for a full refund. Guess which one we are opting for? Target has always been a great place to shop and find great deals. Now, however due to this incident, we are unfortunately put in the position of relaying this experience to anyone who asks about our online interaction with Target. So, today with it being nearly 6 weeks since the item was ordered, we placed another call to Target. Same song, different day. Target has our money and we have no product and seemingly no respect. I cannot believe how an order can get lost and that in 2011 there is no way to cancel an online order and just refund our money. It just makes no sense.
